Our name
RIVIC is inspired by the idea of confluence — the place where separate paths come together and become something stronger.
RIVER — movement, connection, and the many paths that bring us together.
CIVIC — our shared life: the places, relationships, and responsibilities that turn a collection of people into a community.
Together, they become RIVIC.
The name began with a nod to the rivers that meet in Grand Junction, but its meaning reaches well beyond geography. People come to community from different places, generations, and phases of life — yet so many of the things we want are remarkably similar: connection, purpose, belonging, support, and the opportunity to contribute.
